Duty Database

This will show the import duty of an item either by description or tariff code. This option is ideal if you do not know the tariff code or country specific description. If you want to calculate the landed cost for the item, click “Calculate Duty” and it will pre-populate the Duty Calculator and you can continue to work out the landed cost.

When you select the Duty Database the following will appear.

Select the country and input the tariff code or enter a description.

The results will list all the products in the same 6-digit HS Code. In the above example the HS Code is 650500.

If you then click “Calculate Duty” against the selected product, it pre-populates the Duty Calculator, so you do not have to try and remember the code or description.

You can then continue to use the Duty Calculator as described above to find out the landed cost of the item.
